We're excited to be at PlugFest 2025 in London on Feb 24-26, followed by the HbbTV Testing Event from Feb 26-28.
The joint DTG/DTVP Plugfest will take place at the DTG offices in London.
Supported by HDMI LA and Witbe, the Plugfest provides a dynamic platform where companies collaborate in a controlled environment to test and validate the interoperability of their products, software, content, and apps. This event is an essential step toward delivering seamless integration and an outstanding user experience across devices and platforms.
At Plugfest, interoperability tests cover a range of cutting-edge technologies, including:
- UHD-4K/8K, HDR, and HFR
- Next-Generation Audio (NGA)
- HbbTV, DVB-I, and HDMI compatibility testing
Plugfest is open to all companies interested in validating their products’ interoperability with others’ implementations. Participants typically include:
- CE TV, STB, Encoder, Streaming sticks, Test Equipment, AVR, Soundbar, Projector or Monitor manufacturers
- Broadcasters and platform operators
- Technology providers and encoder manufacturers
- Test equipment companies
- Research & development institutions
- Standardisation bodies
- HbbTV app, HbbTV OpApp, and DVB-I implementors.
This Plugfest forms part of a week-long series of events, which also includes the HbbTV Testing Event focusing only on the HbbTV test suite v2025-1 validation and HbbTV Testing Group meeting from Wednesday 26th February to Friday 28th February 2025.
The testing event is open to HbbTV members only. It provides an opportunity for the HbbTV implementers to execute tests on their devices and log those executions as part of the evidence required to approve test cases for the HbbTV test suite v2025-1 release. The representatives of Test Material Providers will be available to discuss problems found with either the test material or implementation. The testing event participants will have temporary access to the test harness, necessary for executing the test cases at the event.
